QSFP28 Active Optical Cable, Multimode OM4

Cleerline™ QSFP28 AOC is a 100G QSFP28 active optical direct attach cable built on 8-strand 50/125µm Multimode OM4 fiber, available in metered lengths from 1m to 100m. The cable provides short distance (same shelf) inexpensive connectivity at 100G rates between two 100G QSFP28 data ports.

Each cable uses a QSFP MSA compliant 38-pin footprint with four independent full-duplex channels, supporting a 103.1 Gb/s aggregate bit rate over a 4x25G electrical interface (OIF CEI-28G-VSR). Cables can be used for 100G Ethernet or any other 100G application, and have been tested and found compatible with most all major brand networking vendors.

Typical applications include high capacity I/O in Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage, and storage servers; switched fabric I/O such as ultra high bandwidth switches and routers; data center cabling infrastructure; and high density connections between networking equipment.
